In 1996 when Biltmore was founded, there were insurance representatives limited to one company’s offerings. And there were independent insurance agencies who could pick from few carriers. Biltmore wanted to go further, providing a wider range of households and businesses with a wider range of options.
We also didn’t want to just sell a policy and disappear, like some agents. We aimed higher, as a resourceful consultancy for managing ongoing risk in an uncertain world. We welcomed non-standard insurance challenges that some other agencies turned away, and became experts in a wide range of specialties. As people discovered the difference, relationships grew stronger, and Biltmore grew larger.
We did it all as a family-owned, community-oriented company that has always given something back, especially to organizations that support children and at-risk youth. Biltmore belongs to a network of premier independent insurance agencies throughout the southeast, all under the umbrella of wide-reaching and privately-held Watkins Associated Industries.
Biltmore is also a member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Georgia.
